In the past, parents were allowed to opt out of in-person learning and go
totally remote. Charter Schools are not allowed to do that this year as it
is being treated as pre-pandemic by the legislature. With saying that, in
order to be virtual or remote it must be submitted in writing to the
Wayne Prep’s Executive Director with the scholar’s name and grade. An
amendment to the charter is required and approved by the Board of
Directors as well as by the Office of Charter Schools. In conjunction
with that, the scholar must attend in person (on campus) at least one day
per week.
