Wayne Preparatory Academy is currently experiencing…

…an issue with field mice in our Learning Cottages. This could be the result of the field recently being cut, the change in weather, or the increase in rain that Goldsboro has been experiencing. Nonetheless, we have taken the necessary steps to combat the issue and we will continue to combat the problem until it is resolved.

As of November 5, 2015, the following steps have been taken:

  1. An exterminator has been called and buildings are being treated
  2. We have strategically placed environmentally safe, non-toxic traps in the buildings [checked and removed each morning]
  3. We have continued to ensure that our facilities are clean, that trash is being taken out daily and disposed of properly.

In addition, we are meeting the criteria set forth by OSHA and also the EPA by applying IPM (Integrated Pest Management) procedures.  More information can be found at: Managing Pests at School
